A Bride In Exile

The Owner of the vineyard is coming to gather in His harvest. The Rich Man is returning to His estate. The Landowner is coming to distribute our wages. In all these prophetic parables, His arrival brings mixed results. Everything depends on whether or not the Master is loved.

There is coming a time when He will be returning. For some, it will be a time of great joy; for others, great woe. When He does, much like what was done at the Temple, our God is going to clean house on a very imposing scale. Part of that refurbishment is going to require the correction of false practices and errant theologies—to get the stench of worthless sacrifices out and the graffiti of friendly bloodshed off the walls. We will end up with only one religion, one truth and one faith. The question for you to contemplate is: whether or not it will be yours?

O LORD, my strength and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of distress, to You the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, “Our fathers have inherited nothing but falsehood, futility and things of no profit.” (Jeremiah 16:19)

These words will surely be spoken by many who thought they were living well, being nice, doing good deeds, being faithful, and most importantly...loving their god. Can you hear the shock and frustration in their voices? They had no idea! Maybe, to a lesser degree, there are areas in which we have no idea. What losses are they contemplating as they look back over their lives and see how what they believed affected how they lived, and how they lived is about to affect their eternal future?

This tragic reality check is coming due to past generations and our inability (or unwillingness) to tell the whole truth—so help us God! The “full-gospel” many of our leaders seem to profess for ensuring a scripturally supported lifestyle is dangerously lacking in, well…gospel. We have been instructed to love our Master, but we’re really not sure how.

This book is about facing and conquering spiritual, life-threatening illnesses. Indiscriminate with its candor, it crosses all party lines, isn’t impressed with your ministry status, and is ecumenical in audience. Like at a surgeon’s table, it is going to shine a very bright light on things that need to be exposed for what they are and we will use the Light of the World to do it.
